The cost that is not mentioned in the itinerary will be paid during the trip.

It is a good idea to include small gifts in your packing list, as you will inevitably be visiting local nomadic families in the country. It is polite to offer them some small gifts to show your gratitude in return for their hospitality. The following items make suitable gifts: Small toys and sweets for children, and some small souvenirs that represents your country.

Wear whatever is comfortable. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable

When you decide to travel to Mongolia here are a few things that are must-have in your kitty, to make your trip a fulfilling and comfortable experience. Since the weather in Mongolia is unpredictable and some of our tours are organized in remote areas, you need to be prepared.

Clothes:

  • Comfortable light boots for walking
  • Rubber slippers to wear in ger camps bathroom
  • Raincoat, cloak with cowl proof of water and wind
  • Warm coat or jacket
  • Scarf, hat, gloves (especially from August to October)
  • Casual pants, shirt, pullovers that are suitable to wear in downtown
  • Short-sleeved shirt or T-shirt
  • Long-sleeved, sweater
  • Sizable, pullover or jacket
  • Thin (quickly dries) pants or skirt – 2 pairs
  • Socks, underwear, nightwear
  • Scarf to cover head

 

On Adventure tours:

  • Sleeping bag in case of on adventure tours (no need if you stay in ger camps or hotels) – trekking, horse trekking and on photosafari (BT and TC Travel can provide sleeping bag on request)
  • Bed sheet used inside of the sleeping bag (In order to make warmer)
  • Glassy bag to put small items inside of the bag
  • Sunglass (with cover)
  • Additional sun-glass
  • Water plastic case with 1 liter of capacity
  • Pocket knife, head light, battery
  • Sanitation devices (including face soap etc which is harmless to the nature)
  • Quickly dries thin towel (dedicated to wash, wipe and dry)
  • Travel alarm clock with extra batteries
  • First aid or medicine box, sun cream, lip-gloss and female tampon etc
  • Money belt

Reservation

Cancellations:

On all cancellations a $50.00 per person administration fee will be charged. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to departure are subject to fees imposed by hotels and air companies.

Weather

We do hike in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re going on adventures! If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be changed or postponed.
