On July 02 till 09, team with 6 people traveled to Tsagaan Nuur to visit families of Tsaatan tribe. The name Tsaatan, which means ‘those who have reindeer’ in the Mongolian language, were originally Tuvinian reindeer herders. The Tsaatan are one of the last groups of nomadic reindeer herders in the world. But as the reindeer populations shrink, only about 70 families with over 2000 reindeers continue the tradition today. Beside of bumpy offroad, too much mosquitos, some times harsh weather in the mountain we accomplished Tsaatans of Taiga tour successfully. Here is some photos.
