Naadam is a traditional festival in Mongolia. The festival is also locally termed “eriin gurvan naadam” or “the three games of men”. The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery and are held throughout the country during the midsummer holidays. Women have started participating in the archery and girls in the horse-racing games, but not in Mongolian wrestling.

In 2010, Naadam was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO.

The main attraction of Naadam festival is opening ceremony and tickets are limited.

Due to limited possibility of getting tickets, BT and TC Travel company books a Naadam tour prior June 01 of every year. Those who escapes from crowd, we offer local Naadam festivals in villages and provinces.

Kharkhorin is located at the lower end of the upper valley of the Orkhon river, part of the World Heritage Site Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape and 320 km from Ulaanbaatar. Nearby are the ruins of the ancient town of Karakorum, which for a short time served as the capital of the Mongol Empire under Ogedei Khan in 13th century. Another landmark is the Erdene Zuu monastery. The Erdene Zuu Monastery is probably the most ancient surviving Buddhist monastery. The Erdene Zuu monastery was built in 1585 by Abtai Sain Khan, upon the introduction of Tibetan Buddhism into Mongolia.

The Gobi is a large desert region in Asia. It covers parts of northern and northwestern China, and of southern Mongolia. The desert basins of the Gobi are bounded by the Altai Mountains and the grasslands and steppes of Mongolia on the north. The good example of the gobi desert is South gobi province. South gobi or Umnugobi is the largest province in Mongolia, and has a population density of only 0.4 people per square kilometer. With an average annual precipitation of only 130mm a year, and summer temperatures reaching an average of 38°C, this is the driest, hottest and harshest region in the entire country. But South gobi is the most popular tourism destination in Mongolia. The Gobi classic 7 days tour gives you a chance to see gobi desert by visiting Gurvan Saikhan National park, Khongor sand dune and Bayanzag cliff.
